Methodology
The index reads the same verified data that powers our pricing pages: manufacturer-published prices (list, direct self-pay, savings-card floors) and provider-published branded prices, each linked to the official page that publishes it. Snapshots are recorded automatically when any tracked number changes, and at least monthly. Intro offers and pill forms are excluded from the pen spread — it tracks standing published prices for the injectable. Compounded products are excluded entirely: we only cover FDA-approved pathways. Known upcoming change already announced by the manufacturer: Novo Nordisk has announced a cut to $675 on January 1, 2027.
