Know the real cost

GLP-1 prices feel opaque because the same medication has several official prices at once. This page puts the manufacturers' own published numbers side by side — nothing estimated, every price linked to the page that publishes it.

Verified Aug 11, 2026

Quick answer: ignore the list price. If your commercial insurance covers the drug, a manufacturer savings card can mean paying as little as $25 a month. If not, the manufacturers' own pharmacies sell direct: $299–$449 for Zepbound vials, $349–$399 for Wegovy, $349–$499 for Ozempic.

The matrix

Manufacturer-published prices only, as of the verified date above. A "—" means the manufacturer doesn't publish a price for that channel. Dose-level detail and conditions are in the cards below.

What the three prices mean

List price

The manufacturer's published sticker price (wholesale acquisition cost). Almost nobody pays this number directly — but it drives what shows up before deductibles are met, so it's worth knowing.

Manufacturer self-pay

Cash prices the manufacturers publish for buying directly through their own pharmacies (NovoCare Pharmacy, LillyDirect) — no insurance involved. This is the real floor for the FDA-approved product without coverage.

Savings card, with covered commercial insurance

If your commercial plan covers the drug, the manufacturer's card can bring your copay down to as little as $25 — but the monthly savings are capped, and no card works with Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, or VA coverage.

Zepbound

tirzepatide · Eli Lilly · list price $1,086/month

The savings card requires commercial insurance that covers Zepbound: pay as little as $25 per fill, savings capped at $100 per month and $1,300 per calendar year. Government coverage is excluded; the current card expires December 31, 2026.

Mounjaro

tirzepatide · Eli Lilly · list price $1,080/month

Lilly doesn't currently publish a direct self-pay price for Mounjaro the way it does for Zepbound vials — if one appears on LillyDirect, we'll add it here.

The savings card requires commercial insurance that covers Mounjaro: pay as little as $25 for up to a 3-month fill. Government coverage is excluded; the current card expires December 31, 2026.

Prices are set by the manufacturers and change — sometimes mid-year. We list only manufacturer-published numbers, re-verified on the date above, and this page is not medical, insurance, or financial advice. Telehealth platforms listed elsewhere on this site charge their own separate visit or membership fees on top of medication costs.
