We focus on FDA-approved GLP-1 care pathways.

How do I know if a GLP-1 provider is legitimate?

This applies wherever you're comparing options: telehealth providers or manufacturer programs.

A few signals are worth checking before you commit to any provider:

  • It offers FDA-approved medications, not compounded or unapproved versions, and says so clearly.
  • It requires a real clinical evaluation. A questionnaire alone, with no clinician review, is not evaluation.
  • Pricing is published and specific, not “contact us for a quote.”
  • It doesn’t promise a prescription. A legitimate provider evaluates you first; nobody can guarantee the outcome before that happens.
  • You can find who’s licensing the clinicians and in which states they’re allowed to practice.

We only cover providers offering FDA-approved GLP-1 medications, and every fact on their profile page links to where we found it, so you can check it yourself. See our how we verify page for the full process.
