Wellcare coverage for Zepbound depends on your specific plan, the approved use, and any coverage rules that apply. Check your plan’s current drug list, or formulary for Zepbound and review any prior authorization, step therapy, or quantity-limit requirements.
Wellcare says its formularies show covered drugs and related restrictions, but formularies can differ by plan and may change. You can also use your plan’s drug search tool or contact Wellcare using the number on your member ID card.
For eligible people with Medicare Part D, Zepbound KwikPen may also be available through the separate Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program, which began July 1, 2026. This program is outside the regular Wellcare Part D benefit and has its own eligibility and prior authorization process.
The Medicare GLP-1 Bridge does not cover every Zepbound presentation. Medicare.gov lists the KwikPen as covered under the program and says single-dose Zepbound pens and vials are not covered through it. Confirm the applicable rules before filling a prescription.
